Week 17 NFL Schedule: What to Watch For

On any given week, NFL fans have plenty of games to choose from. And in Week 17, there are a couple of games that have all of us on the edge of our seats. From third seed battles to inter-divisional rivalries, we’re in for a wild ride in NFL’s final week of the regular season.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Both the Falcons and Buccaneers sit at 7-8 records and are striving for their first winning seasons since 2012. For the Falcons, this week is a must-win. Atlanta still has a chance at postseason contention and if they win they remain in the running while Tampa Bay will be locked out of it.

New York Giants vs. Washington Redskins

The Redskins, who are already eliminated from postseason contention, aim to close out the regular season with their third win in a row. Meanwhile, the Giants seek redemption from their recent losses by taking the remaining playoff spot in the NFC.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Rookie quarterback sensation Dak Prescott and the Cowboys enter Week 17 with a 13-2 record as they seek their first NFC East title since 2014. On the other side, Carson Wentz and the Eagles will aim to slam the door shut on their four game skid and keep playoff hopes alive.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens

In Week 17, the Bengals and the Ravens will clash once again. This rivalry has been heated for decades and it looks to reach a boiling point as the two AFC North squads fight for a wildcard playoff spot. Baltimore (8-7) needs a win plus a few other results in order to keep their season from ending prematurely.

Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions

Each team has plenty on the line in this final regular season game. The Lions (9-6) need just one victory to seal the NFC North title and a playoff spot. Meanwhile, the Packers (9-6) need a win plus a Lions loss in order to secure a wildcard spot and keep their 2017 playoffs dreams alive.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Though there’s nothing meaningful on the line for the Colts (3-12), the Jags (10-5), with their first AFC South title since 1999 and a postseason trip, are out of the unrealised big prize. They’ll aim to secure their place in the playoffs while being wary of the trap game’s potential pitfalls. Jacksonville will have to contend with rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the rest of the Colts squad.
