Hey there! One of my favorite things to do around the holidays is listening to old school, traditional hymns that my grandparents would have listened to. It’s so soothing, peaceful and comforting – something this hectic season needs more of! So here I’ve gathered some beautiful sheet music pieces of some classic hymns, just in case you’re in the mood for a little throwback.
Just As I Am (Hymn) SATB
I’m a bit of an amateur pianist, so I know from experience just how beautiful this piece is. It takes some finesse, but if you have an evening to spare, sit down in front of a piano and attempt to play it. The sound is so serene yet uplifting - it’ll be worth it.

Nothing brings me more joy than singing along with this one. I swear I can’t keep the old hymns in time- no matter how much I practice. I just lose track somewhere along the way. But as I fumble my way through the notes, my soul is lifted. I guess that’s half the point.
Oh Come All Ye Faithful
This one has somewhat of a regal sound to it, so it’s perfect for gatherings or special occasions. This timeless tune can never get old, either – it’s been around for centuries! Invite your friends over and make your own choir. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
Free Sheet Music - Hymns
This breathtaking piece really embraces a softer side to the classic hymns. I’m all about power-packing every single tune with emotion and alliteration - but this one refuses to be rushed. It’s best listened to with a relaxed and open mind, and taken in slowly.
The American Hymnal
This is one of those hymns that’s so simple, it takes on new meaning with each rendition. Sing it fast, sing it slow, and you’ll hear something different every time. It can fit into any mood and any season.
