Nebraska has done well in their recruiting efforts in the past few years, and they look to keep that momentum going. This includes defensive players such as defensive backs Tony Fair and Juan Jefferson, as well as linebacker Messiah Rice. The Big Ten recently released their schedule for 2020 and 2021 and there is much to be excited about. Nebraska will host the Iowa Hawkeyes on October 24th and the Wisconsin Badgers on November 21st for two of their marquee matchups. They will also travel to play several other opponents, including Purdue, Minnesota, Illinois, and Maryland.

The 2020 Husker’s football schedule is full of difficult opponents and a number of exciting games. Their opening game will be on September 12th at home against the Ohio Bobcats. Following that, they will travel to Northwestern to take on the Wildcats as well as take on some non-conference opponents in the UCF Knights and South Dakota Coyotes. With a couple of bye weeks in between there is plenty of time to get ready for some monumental matchups!

The Nebraska Cornhuskers haven’t had the start they wanted to the season, but they still have high hopes for the upcoming matches. With plenty of time to improve before their next game, the Huskers have a great opportunity to set themselves up firmly against rivals in the Big Ten. Nebraska looks back to the 2012 season with fond memories, as the Huskers made it to the Big Ten Championship game for the first time. The Cornhuskers were able to pull off very impressive wins during the regular season, surviving against teams such as Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Penn State. This run at the Big Ten Championship was ultimately cut short, as they fell to Wisconsin, but the journey remains a highly esteemed moment in Nebraska’s football history.
